Nilam was recently featured in Grazia Pakistan, where she spoke with beauty editor Kaniz Ali about her career, approach to skin health, and the evolution of her work within the beauty and aesthetics industry.
With over three decades of experience, Nilam’s background spans multiple disciplines - from therapist and aesthetic practitioner to educator and brand founder. Her journey began at just 19, working in a salon while studying, before progressing into advanced skin treatments under the guidance of her mentor, Dr Saleh. It was here that her interest in the science behind skin began to take shape.
Throughout the interview, Nilam reflects on the creation of HD Brows, a brand that redefined the way brows were approached within the industry, before she later stepped away to focus on new ventures. This includes the continued growth of Dermaspa, alongside the development of her own product lines, including EyebrowQueen and Puromist.
A defining aspect of Nilam’s work is her ability to deliver visible results within limited timeframes. Working with clients who often have demanding schedules, her approach centres on combining multiple treatments simultaneously - with teams working together to address both face and body concerns in a single session. The focus is not only on immediate improvement, but on creating a structured plan that supports the skin over time.
This balance between instant results and long-term skin health is underpinned by a strong emphasis on technology and innovation. From radiofrequency skin tightening to microneedling and advanced laser treatments, Nilam’s work is grounded in understanding how different modalities can be combined to achieve the most effective outcome.
With a global client base and a reputation built on trust, consistency, and expertise, Nilam’s feature in Grazia offers insight into a career shaped by both technical knowledge and real-world experience. It reflects an approach that continues to evolve - one that prioritises results, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the skin at every stage.
